It also results in a timeless, minimalist, and universally appealing aesthetic, appropriate for any meeting or collaborative setting.
Long Lasting Textiles
Humanscale textiles are engineered for exceptional durability, with most fabrics exceeding 150,000 double rubs in the Wyzenbeek abrasion test, five times the industry standard of 30,000 ensuring they retain their appearance even after years of heavy use. They are also tested for gentleness using the Reverse Wyzenbeek Test to ensure they resist wear while remaining kind to users' clothing.
Armrests Fixed
Humanscale armrests are attached to the chair back rather than the seat, allowing them to move with you as you recline. This ensures continuous elbow and forearm support in every posture, eliminating the gaps created by conventional seat mounted armrests and promoting greater comfort and ergonomic support throughout the day.
Glueless Upholstery
We do not use glue when applying textiles to cushions so our fabrics won’t delaminate or wrinkle over time. Not using glue is also better for the environment and healthier for people.
Clean Gas Cylinder
Our cylinders are cleaner and more reliable than conventional cylinders. Unlike other chairs, our patented design seals grease in the lower unit to protect both user and chain
Bases Designed Not to Wear
Humanscale chair bases are built for lasting durability using solid aluminum or uniform colour through materials rather than painted finishes that show scratches and wear. Because the material remains consistent throughout, the base maintains its original appearance even after years of use, ensuring long term aesthetics and performance.
Luxurious Comfort :Crafted to mimic the body’s natural contours, the sculpted backrest and seat cushions provide pressure relief and balanced support. The ergonomic design minimises discomfort, ensuring a comfortable seating experience for long meetings or extended use.
Premium Chrome-Free : Upholstered in Maribo leather, a premium semi-aniline leather tanned without harmful chromium, the Smart Conference Chair exudes elegance while being environmentally conscious. Maribo leather offers a luxurious feel, durability, and is available in eight neutral color options to match any office decor.
Sustainable & Health-Conscious Materials : The Smart Conference Chair is carbon-negative and made with sustainably sourced materials. Its eco-friendly composition includes recycled die-cast aluminium and environmentally neutral Chrome 3. The leather used is tanned using alternative processes to reduce environmental impact, making this chair both stylish and sustainable.
Optional Return-to-Height Cylinders : For a uniform look in meeting rooms, optional return-to-height cylinders allow the chair to automatically return to its highest position when unoccupied, maintaining a clean and polished appearance.
